Well done to Transition Year student Niamh Kilcawley who was featured on a recent Prime Time special. The title of the special was ‘Forgotten People of Ireland – Life with Disability’ and featured four Irish people who are living with disabilities. The programme provided a wonderful insight into the challenges that people with disabilities face on a daily basis. Niamh did a wonderful job representing the blind community and spoke with confidence and dignity as she outlined the difficulties that she has to overcome to reach her full potential in a world that is not designed for her. In Niamh’s own words ‘I want an equal chance in life and the same opportunities as everyone else but I need everyone to support me in being able to do that’. Well done Niamh…………. We are so proud of you!
