Ard Scoil na nDéise participates in Dungarvan Creative windows

Ard Scoil na nDéise was invited to take part in the Creative windows initiative for Dungarvan 2020. Transition year Art students were invited to take an explorative and instructional role, in creating window installations on the theme of “It’s a wonderful life”. The core intention of this local project, is to counteract the harmful, life diminishing effects of lockdown and social isolation, by utilising these restrictions productively in a way that is regenerative and life enhancing for our entire community. Using a range of found and recycled materials the students have been working to make of our town, a reflective celebration of all that is wonderful and awesome in our lives. We are delighted to have work exhibited in the windows of Dungarvan Library and The old Market House Arts Centre. Thank you to our art teacher Ms. Hehir for working with the girls on producing and installing these displays and thank you to Artist, Catherine Barron for working with the school on this initiative.
