Ard Scoil na nDéise

History

While the history of Ard Scoil na nDéise dates back only to 1990, it is part of a long tradition of Catholic education in the town of Dungarvan. Ard Scoil na nDéise is the product of the amalgamation of Coláiste Mhuire, run by the Sisters of Mercy and St. Joseph’s Secondary School, run by the Presentation Sisters. Both congregations had a Primary and a Secondary School. In 1990 the Secondary Schools amalgamated to form Ard Scoil na nDéise under the Trusteeship of the Sisters of Mercy. We are now one of 110 schools in the CEIST Trust which was founded in 2007.
